The Prophecy of St. Nilus, who lived around 400 AD:
"After the year 1900, toward the middle of the 20th century, the people of that time will become unrecognizable. When the time for the Advent of the Antichrist approaches, people's minds will grow cloudy from carnal passions, and dishonor and lawlessness will grow stronger. Then the world will become unrecognizable. People's appearances will change, and it will be impossible to distinguish men from women due to their shamelessness in dress and style of hair. These people will be cruel and will be like wild animals because of the temptations of the Antichrist. There will be no respect for parents and elders, love will disappear, and Christian pastors, bishops, and priests will become vain men, completely failing to distinguish the right-hand way from the left. At that time the morals and traditions of Christians and of the Church will change. People will abandon modesty, and dissipation will reign. Falsehood and greed will attain great proportions, and woe to those who pile up treasures. Lust, adultery, homosexuality, secret deeds and murder will rule in society."
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), in its "Confession of Faith," states clearly - among other things - that:
"This church confesses the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This church confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe
Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.
The proclamation of God's message to us as both Law and Gospel is the Word of God, revealing judgment and mercy through word and deed, beginning with the Word in creation, continuing in the history of Israel, and centering in all its fullness in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
The canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God. Inspired by God's Spirit speaking through their authors, they record and announce God's revelation centering in Jesus Christ. Through them God's Spirit speaks to us to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in the world."
And what does the word of God, inspired by God's Spirit, have to say about homosexuality? Among other things, that complementarity of sexes reflects God's inner unity (Genesis 1: 27); that homosexual acts are an abomination (Leviticus 18: 22); that such acts are unnatural, shameful, and a perversity (Romans 1: 27); and that active homosexuals - which is what the ELCA is condoning - will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6: 9).
Imagine the dishonesty required to ignore these scriptures, and the others dealing with homosexuality, while proclaiming to believe in the Word of God as being inspired by God's Spirit! The Catholic Church, however, remains faithful to this Holy Word: "Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that 'homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.' They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2357).

Like the Episcopal church in this country, the ELCA has decided to genuflect before the world. But as Maritain says, "...the Church is of God, not of the world. And we have to choose to be friends of the world or friends of God. Because the world is not only created nature as God made it, but this very nature insofar as crowned with the triple diadem of the evil desires of human Liberty - Pride at being supremely self-sufficient; Intoxication with knowledge, not for the sake of truth but for power and possession; Intoxication in being overcome and torn by pleasure. 'Do not love the world or the things in the world.' 'If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that seduces in the world - the Lust of the flesh, the Lust of the eyes, and the Pride of life - is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world will pass away, and the lust of it.' (1 John 2: 15-17)." (The Peasant of the Garonne, pp. 34-35).
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America has decided to commit spiritual adultery. But the Word of God warns, "Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." (James 4: 4).
Pray for these lost souls.
The Letter of Jude, verses 3-7:
ReplyDelete"Beloved, although I was making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel a need to write to encourage you to contend for the faith that was once for all handed down to the holy ones. For there have been some intruders, who long ago were designated for this condemnation, godless persons, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. I wish to remind you, although you know all things, that (the) Lord who once saved a people from the land of Egypt later destroyed those who did not believe. The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgment of the great day. Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire."
How was the ELCA able to overlook such a passage from Sacred Scripture? This is the Mystery of Iniquity which St. Paul wrote about. Even now, so many Christians are alligning themselves with the spirit of Antichrist? You can feel the darkness now.
The spirit of Antichrist has seeped even into portions of the Catholic Church. How many "Catholics" no longer believe in the Eucharistic Presence and condone all manner of sin?
The Son of Perdition is about to reveal himself. Many are already welcoming him.

ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed at the Lutherans. But not entirely surprised. I think they have been secretly craving this for some time. Witness the vote. It represented a huge margin in favor of this travesty.
ReplyDeletePope Saint Pius X prophesied that the Catholic Church would soon face that bloody persecution mentioned in 675 of the Catechism. He said, "I saw one of my successors taking to flight over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in disguise somewhere and after a short retirement he will die a cruel death. The present wickedness of the world is only the beginning of the sorrows which must take place before the end of the world."
Catholics who still possess their faith - a very distinct minority now - should retreat from the world as much as possible and prepare for the catacombs.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America would do well to prayerfully reflect on these words from Saint Hippolytus of Rome, for they represent the mind of the Fathers of the Church regarding Sacred Scripture: "Therefore they[the followers of Artemon's heresy] have laid their hands boldly upon the Divine Scriptures, alleging that they have corrected them...But how daring this offense is, it is not likely that they themselves are ignorant. For either they do not believe that the Divine Scriptures were spoken by the Holy Spirit, and thus are unbelievers, or else they think themselves wiser than the Holy Spirit, and in that case what else are they than demoniacs?"
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic Church soon may find herself standing alone in proclaiming the intrinsic evil of homosexual acts. May the Lord preserve her and her members to the end - which He has already said He would - and Holy is His name!
