Many men seek their "religion" in sports or elsewhere because they're turned off by effeminacy in the Church and the radical feminist agenda.

I'm so happy that this is not an issue in your Church.Paul Anthony Melansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08455719838570381999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9695096.post-83258614016329410152017-11-30T04:20:05.466-08:002017-11-30T04:20:05.466-08:00You would also be more than welcomed at my parish ...You would also be more than welcomed at my parish church,Paul. My church has a good number of men who serve in different capacities. All are encouraged to participate. Also, the ones who serve altar are all men and boys. No misandry at all in my parish. It hurts my heart that you and your mother have been treated so poorly at your parish. may God have mercy on the clergy and parishioners at St.Mary's in Orange.God sees your heart for Him, He will reward you. Praying for you and your ministry daily.Stay strong , your masculinity is a gift from God, not a detriment.Cyn Mnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9695096.post-91980279126588703172017-11-29T15:47:56.162-08:002017-11-29T15:47:56.162-08:00Thank you for deleting the comment accusing me of ...Thank you for deleting the comment accusing me of being a "liar" for taking exception to the feminist-driven Saint Mary's Church in Orange. I am a parishioner. And what I see is a shortage of men and boys participating in parish ministry. CCD Coordinator: a woman; Music Minister: a woman; Parish Secretary: a woman; Pastoral Care Ministry: a woman; Most altar servers: girls; Most Extraordinary Ministers: women; and so on.

Facts are facts. The parish, as with so many other parishes, ignores men...especially masculine men.

Oh, one more thing...a woman's organization but nothing similar for men.

Misandry is alive and well at Saint Mary's. If this were not the case, you wouldn't have been excluded from parish involvement Paul.

Keep up the great work!Orange Catholicnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9695096.post-62495930423458234222017-11-29T10:12:21.621-08:002017-11-29T10:12:21.621-08:00Thank you for that M. In a normal atmosphere, your gifts would be welcomed and celebrated. When I first attempted to register at Saint Mary's Church in Orange [Massachusetts], I was met with resistance. No one bothered to get back to me. Masculine men who possess a strong Marian devotion and Traditional piety are about as welcome at that parish as Andrew Dice Clay would be at a NOW convention.Paul Anthony Melansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08455719838570381999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9695096.post-6123959932049440372017-11-29T06:53:37.995-08:002017-11-29T06:53:37.995-08:00Artificial indeed. If the bishops had paid any attention to Pope Benedict's urging that the Tridentine mass be welcomed and encouraged in our parishes, we would have many more Traditional candidates for the priesthood. The fields were white with those who wanted the Latin mass, but they were ignored and marginalized. Most parishes that do offer a Tridentine mass find that the faithful have to crowd into smaller churches at inconvenient mass times, yet it was said there was "no interest in Latin masses". Couple that with the proliferation of altar girls who usurp the proper place of our boys in serving altar,(part and parcel of the feminization of the church) and you have part of the problem. Many a good priest has said they felt the first stirrings of a vocational calling to while serving altar as boys. It suits the progressive and liberal agenda of the far left in the church heirarchy to keep orthodox and faithful Catholics out of the seminaries. Very Sad.Cyn Mnoreply@blogger.com
