There is still a climate of denial in some areas. For example, at the Cardinal Newman Society forum, some were trying to persuade others that they were rushing to judgment on Fr. Aquino despite the fact that police had arrested him for lewd conduct and lying about his identity. At Magisterial Fidelity, there was also denial. John Ansley tried to point this out charitably but was rebuffed. And Carol McKinley called the police report a bunch of B.S. while taking a general stand against the police.
These issues need to be addressed, not suppressed.
That's really disturbing. One has to wonder why McKinley would defend Fr. Aquino and castigate the police who are only trying to do their job....weird!
