I wish we would see the same concern and compassion for victims of sexual abuse whose entire lives have been shattered - physically, emotionally and spiritually as is being shown for priest-predators.
I believe in showing forgiveness for the offenders. We are called to that as Christians. But where is the same compassion for those aggrieved?
Perhaps there should be an equal amount raised for victims?
