Robin Williams: Anti-Catholic bigot

Perhaps he sat on his head one too many times while filming Mork and Mindy? Yet another example of Tinsel Town's anti-Catholic hatred and hypocrisy.

Dr. Donahue is right. If Robin Williams had insulted African Americans or homosexual persons or Jews his words would be soundly condemned by Hollywood. But because his comments were about Catholicism and the Church, there is no protest. And that's anti-Catholicism. It was Harvard historian Dr. Arthur Schlesinger, Jr who said that anti-Catholicism is the deepest bias in the history of the American people.

Paul, your Blog is dedicated toward promoting and defending the teaching of the Catholic Church. And yet, someone who posts at the Keene Sentinel Talkback has slandered you, referring to you as a "disgruntled fallen Catholic." Can you imagine that?

  3. Elizabeth, thank you for the heads up and most especially for your kind defense at that forum. As you know, good reputation is the object of a basic human right (see Gaudium et Spes, No. 26). People need their good name in order to enter into and participate fully in various communities. Therefore, any act that destroys or damages the reputation of an individual is important.

Detraction, which is also called defamation, is any act of communication that WRONGFULLY sullies an individual's or groups reputation. It takes two forms: lying and communicating truths which should not be communicated. The former is called calumny while the latter is called simply detraction. Because of the good at stake and the violation of justice and love involved, all detraction, even that involving no lie, is of itself grave matter.

There have been many lies told about me at the forum in question. This is most unfortunate. We read in the Catechism of the Catholic Church that: "He becomes guilty of calumny who, by remarks contrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments concerning them." (No. 2477).

The individual who has accused me of being a disgruntled fallen away Catholic has committed calumny. For this reason, we should pray for this person. If the remark were true, it wouldn't constitute calumny. However, I am able to prove my membership in a Catholic Parish and my parish priest could verify that he heard my last confession 5 days ago.

But Elizabeth, we shouldn't be surprised that certain persons might slander us for standing with the teaching of the Church and for opposing what has been well-documented as a hate group.

Our response should always be to pray for such people. And leave the rest to God.

Thanks again Elizabeth. God love you.

That the SBC would spend so much time and effort attacking you is proof that they fear you Paul. You have done more than anyone else to expose their hate movement. Keep up the good work Paul!

Stay with us, Paul. I am surprised about Robin Williams, but also disappointed.
