Prayer to the Blessed Virgin
(Never known to fail):
"O most Beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me here you are my Mother. O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech You from the bottom of my heart to secure me in my necessity (make request). There are none that can withstand Your power. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee (3 times). Holy Mary, I place this cause in your hands (3 times).
Say this prayer for 3 consecutive days and then you must publish and it will be granted to you.

I've always been wary of these prayers that say "never known to fail" and "say 3 times then publish." It seems superstitious to me.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is not the particular wording of the prayer, but rather how we approach prayer. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, No. 2732, reminds us that, "The most common yet most hidden temptation is our lack of faith. It expresses itself less by declared incredulity than by our actual preferences. When we begin to pray, a thousand labors or cares thought to be urgent vie for priority; once again, it is the moment of truth for the heart: what is its real love? Sometimes we turn to the Lord as a last resort, but do we really believe he is? Sometimes we enlist the Lord as an ally, but our heart remains presumptuous. In each case, our lack of faith reveals that we do not yet share in the disposition of a humble heart.."
ReplyDeleteAnd 2375 asks us, "What is the image of God that motivates our prayer: an instrument to be used? or the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ?"
Every prayer is answered. No prayer fails. We may not get the answer we'd like, but we will receive what is best for us. And we trust God to know the difference even when we do not.
Jesus has told us, "Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asks for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him." (Matthew 7: 9-11).
An excellent observation though Nazianus. It is our approach to prayer which really matters. Do we view the Lord Jesus as some sort of cosmic slot machine which must pay off in the currency which we demand? Or as a loving God Who alone knows what is best for us and Who never fails to answer any prayer?
God love you brother!
say nine Hail mary's for Nine days. Make Three wishes , One for FInancial Two for the Impossible . Your prayer will be answered even if you do not believe
