The persecution is intensifying. Now a homosexual hate group is calling for the government to shut down churches which teach that homosexual acts are sinful. See here.
Venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser, back in the 1600's, foresaw that many of the Church's oldest and most venerable teachings would be challenged prior to a great chastisement:
'These are evil times, a century full of dangers and calamities. Heresy is everywhere, and the followers of heresy are in power almost everywhere. Bishops, prelates, and priests say that they are doing their duty, that they are vigilant, and that they live as befits their state in life. In like manner, therefore, they all seek excuses. But God will permit a great evil against His Church: Heretics and tyrants will come suddenly and unexpectedly; they will break into the Church while bishops, prelates, and priests are asleep. They will enter Italy and lay Rome waste; they will burn down the churches and destroy everything." (Apocalypsis, Bartholomew Holzhauser, 1850).
They will seek excuses...
THE CHURCH IN AGONY
ReplyDeletePenance Penance Penance
to avoid Divine vengeance
for not showing any remorse
and trying our will to enforce
The reign of the Impostor has arrived
the Church, of TRUTH is being deprived
the whole world hangs on his lips
while being readied for a total eclipse
The true followers of Christ
trying to pull off the heist
are persecuted for non-compliance
and being countered with defiance
When it will seem that all is lost
everything sacred has been tossed
God will deliver us from our agony
and reign forever in all His Majesty
SO LET IT BE WRITTEN, SO LET IT BE DONE

I realise that this post may be unrelated but I was wondering if I could get advice from someone more knowledgable in the faith. Is penance considered a good work? As someone disabled and trapped in the house all day, I always read that Jesus will condemn those who did no works of mercy despite everything else they did. Now I'm wondering if offering acts of penance is a good work, because apart from fasting and prayer that is almost all I can do. I can't give alms as often as I want to, but I want to do works pleasing to God. Thank you for any advice.
ReplyDeleteto Anonymous : I f you offer your daily aches and pains to the Lord and you give Him this suffering for the ones that need it the most, you have done more than given material offerings.
ReplyDeleteJesus offered all His suffering for us and so you partake in His suffering by offering yours, and it pleases Him more than you can imagine.
He is the TRUTH, the Way and the LIFE.
I will remember you in my daily prayers and please pray for us in return, we need it in these diabolical times, to be strong and to continue to walk in His path.
May God bless you in abundance today and ongoing. Be strong and keep offering your daily Crosses.
Your offerings are very very much so "good works"

Thank you for your advice. I've decided also to start a blog to share my thought/warnings with the world because I think most people are asleep. I just want to do all I can for God.
