Writing for The New York Times, Jim Yardley notes that the Vatican issued a statement indicating that Pope Francis’ Meeting with Kim Davis wasn’t an endorsement of her views.
One has to wonder why no such statement was issued by the Vatican after Francis met with radical homosexual activist Simon Cazal who agitated for the Church to change her teaching relative to the sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance.
Very good point. It seems as if Francis is trying to reassure his constituency.
ReplyDeleteWhat a double-minded pope. He'll tacitly speak softly against sodomite pseudo-marriage, then appoint sodomite activists to different offices, publicly hold hands (oh, how sweet) with activist sodomite clergymen, etc, etc.
Who knows what to think. Perhaps Francis has a soft spot for people who place their generative organ inside an excretory organ? What a humble, gentle man.
"But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil." - Mt 5:37
No, we don't wonder. It's obvious.
ReplyDeleteGood comment Cenlacatholic. Anything else is from the Evil One. Lukewarmness is of the Devil.
ReplyDeleteMaudie, of course it's obvious. I want readers to ask themselves the question. Not everyone is able to see clearly as you do. Grace is a wonderful thing, yes?
Maybe the qualifier is the result of the Vatican fearing the Obama White House and the liberal mainstream media propaganda machine?
ReplyDeletePretty telling that this person is not a person with dignity, but to you, merely a "sodomite." Shows what kind of "Catholic" you truly are.
ReplyDeleteNothing could be further from the truth. As a Catholic loyal to the Magisterial teaching of the Church, I follow the great Saint Augustine while hating the sin and loving the sinner (interficere errorem dilligere errantem - kill the error, love the one who errs). Having said that, is it illicit or somehow objectionable to use the word sodomy?
DeleteHere's what Dr. Germain Grisez has to say about the matter. "The word sodomy is used, not as a term of reproach, but in its descriptive sense, precisely to distinguish between the act of homosexual intercourse and the disposition toward it. One should not allow sentiment to cloud the truth about this act. John Paul II, Address to the Bishops of the United States (Chicago), 6, AAS 71 (1979) 1224-1225, OR, 29 Oct. 1979, 9, makes the point clearly: 'As men with the message of truth and the power of God (2 Cor 6:7), as authentic teachers of God's law and as compassionate pastors you also rightly stated: "Homosexual activity...as distinguished from homosexual orientation, is morally wrong." In the clarity of this truth, you exemplified the real charity of Christ; you did not betray those people who, because of homosexuality, are confronted with difficult moral problems, as would have happened if, in the name of understanding and compassion, or for any other reason, you had held out false hope to any brother or sister. Rather, by your witness to the truth of humanity in God's plan, you effectively manifested fraternal love, upholding the true dignity, the true human dignity, of those who look to Christ's Church for the guidance which comes from the light of God's word."

ReplyDeleteThe dignity of a person is incumbent upon one's behavior and his conformity to the natural and Divine law, or simply, Truth.
"From where, in fact, does the person derive his dignity? He draws his dignity from his perfection. Now the perfection of the human person consists in the knowledge of the Truth and the acquisition of Good. This is the beginning of eternal life, and eternal life is "that they may know Thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ Whom Thou hast sent" (Jn. 17:3). Consequently, so long as he clings to error, the human person falls short of his dignity." - Archbishop Lefebvre, I Accuse the Council!, p.22
Where was the concern for the dignity of Christians on the part of homosexuals as they physically attacked Christians over Proposition 8 in California.
ReplyDeleteIt's unbelievable that you don't hear any reaction from the Church to remind the people of what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. No priest preaches about it as far as I know !!!
ReplyDeleteTHE PRESENT SODOM AND GOMORRAH
Though I am the Light
you walk in the darkness
Though I am the Might
you follow the barkless
Though I am the Truth
you prefer the lier’s booth
Though I am the Way
you say it’s ok to be gay
Though I am the Life
you choose eternal death
Where weeping and gnashing is rife
and for sure there won’t be any Meth
Oh you stubborn generation
stop this horrific aberration
You keep flirting with the seducer
so don’t blame Me, blame the abuser
Though I am the utter Merciful
I’m also the eternal Just
Your behavior is extremely hurtful
My patience you finally bust.
Wake up and smell the coffee or it will be too late.
Lord, please, hasten Your Coming

The diabolical disorientation spreads.
