Traditionalist Bishop attacks Pope Benedict XVI

This really calls for prayer. Dissent, no matter where it comes from - from either "traditionalist" or liberal circles - always represents a grave matter. In the words of Pope John Paul II, "dissent is opposed to ecclesial communion and to a correct understanding of the hierarchical constitution of the People of God" (Veritatis Splendor, No. 113).

The Bishop in question has added calumny to his dissent from Church teaching and authority. Let's all pray for his reconciliation with the Church.

Paul
