A challenge not accepted...

Several days ago I left a comment at Russell Provost's important Blog SBC Watch: http://sbcwatch.blogspot.com/

I said (in part):

We live in an age of information. Unfortunately, not all the information out there is sound. As we all know, people often have a tendency to distort facts in an attempt to advance their own personal agenda. For example, there has been an unfortunate trend in the Mainstream media to smear the reputation of Pope Pius XII by implying - or stating in a direct fashion - that this heroic Pontiff remained "silent" during the Nazi atrocities or that he was "Hitler's Pope." This is most unfortunate and constitutes slander as it is not consistent with the facts of history: http://lasalettejourney.blogspot.com/2007/11/from-la-salette-journey-archives.html

In the same fashion, Louis Villarrubia's Saint Benedict Center has published an article by Gary Potter at its website which refers to the Shoah as the "so-called Holocaust" and which states that our understanding of wartime Germany today is largely the result of "Zionist enterprise."

Louis Villarrubia was being truthful when he admitted to Mary Richardson [on the ABC television program Chronicle] that he is not an historian. All the more reason then that he should defer to reputable historians and their consensus as to the reality of the Holocaust. But if Louis Villarrubia is in fact not an historian (as he has freely admitted) why then has he stated that the Jewish People "undermine public morality"? Perhaps we should invite Mr. Villarrubia to cite reputable historians who share this view? The key word here being "reputable." Not anti-Semitic individuals like Fr. Denis Fahey.

Let's challenge Mr. Villarrubia, but let's do so with charity. If Mr. Villarrubia fails to rise to the challenge, then we can say with honest conviction and certainty that he is not being honest.

When challenged to provide others with the dimissorial letters granting him canonical permission to be ordained to the diaconate, Mr. Villarrubia fell strangely silent. When asked how his community may be considered to be in communion with the Catholic Church when the Diocese of Manchester has stated explicitly that his organization has "no affiliation" with the Roman Catholic Church, again he fell strangely silent.

What is needed here is open and honest dialogue. To date, I have not witnessed any real interest from Mr. Villarrubia or his followers to engage in such authentic dialogue.Let's pray that this situation will change."

To date, I have received absolutely no response. And not one SBC member has addressed these rather substantial concerns. This speaks volumes. And so, once again I issue the challenge. And in so doing, I will quote from Pope John Paul II:

"Considering history in the light of the principles of faith in God, we must also reflect on the catastrophic event of the Shoah, that ruthless and inhuman attempt to exterminate the Jewish people in Europe, an attempt that resulted in millions of victims - including women and children, the elderly and the sick - exterminated only because they were Jews." (Meeting with Jewish Leadership, United States, September 11, 1987).

The time has come for Mr. Villarrubia (known to his followers as "Brother" Andre Marie) to explain why he refused to acknowledge the reality of the Holocaust on the television program Chronicle. The time has come for Mr. Villarrubia to explain just how his organization is not anti-Semitic when one SBC leader has referred to the Jewish People as the "Synagogue of Satan" and he has referred to them as a people who "undermine public morality." The time has come for Mr. Villarrubia to explain why he has passed himself off as a Deacon in the Catholic Church and to produce the dimissorial letters from Bishop John B. McCormack granting him canonical permission to be ordained to the diaconate. The time has come for Mr. Villarrubia to explain why his organization has passed itself off as Roman Catholic when the Diocese of Manchester has stated that it has "no affiliation" with the Roman Catholic Church and that the Bishop has not given the organization any permission to do ministry in the State of New Hampshire.

Will Mr. Villarrubia rise to the challenge? Or will he simply remain silent in the face of so many difficult questions?

Are you concerned about the SBC in Richmond, New Hampshire?

The SBC is not interested in truth Paul. Only in levelling hateful accusations against its critics. While they are unable to explain their lies, they DO find the time to call those of us who oppose the hate group as "Minions of the Devil" and "local belligerents." Among other hateful labels. "Brother" Andre's silence is a testament to his own dishonesty.

The SBC also refuses to acknowledge the Church's understanding of the Teaching Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus.

The Catechism (which represents the Magisterial Teaching) states that:

"The Lord himself affirms that Baptism is necessary for salvation. He also commands his disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all nations and to baptize them. Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament. The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are "reborn of water and the Spirit." God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments." (1257)

    And:

"The Church has always held the firm conviction that those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ. This Baptism of blood, like the desire for Baptism, brings about the fruits of Baptism without being a sacrament." (1258).

Louis Villarrubia and his cult reject this teaching of the Church. They insist that only baptized Catholics may be saved. But they forget that Clement XI (1713) condemned the following proposition of Quesnell: Extra ecclesiam nulla conceditur gratia, no grace is granted outside the Church.

They continually repeat that the Dogma Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus is de fide. And it is. But it has to be understood as the Church understands it. It must also be reconciled with another de fide teaching: the proposition declaring that Christ died for all men without exception.

Even Labauche admits (in God and Man, II, 175 (1916) that all adults outside the Catholic Church, including Jews, Protestants, and pagans, who follow the dictates of their conscience will receive graces sufficient for salvation.

Louis Villarrubia is a profoundly dishonest individual. I have come to believe that he refuses to engage in any authentic dialogue simply to maintain his hold on power at the SBC Cult.

You never can get any straight answers from "Brother" Andre Marie. When asked by Mary Richardson what he meant when he said that the Jews undermine public morality, he said that the issue was too "complex" to answer within that forum. What arrogance! What dishonesty! Too complex for the American people to understand? "Brother" Andre Marie is an egomaniac with delusions of grandeur. Because of his puffed-up attitude and inflated sense of importance, this pompous windbag will never answer any question he deems "unimportant" or "too complex" for the "unwashed masses." He has succumbed to pride. And because of this, he considers himself to be everyone's "intellectual superior." He even considers himself to be "intellectually superior" to Popes, Cardinals, Bishops, theologians and pretty much everyone in the Church who doesn't share his hate-filled anti-Semite, anti-Magisterium agenda or his Holocaust denial.

Let's all hope and pray that this group returns to Holy Mother Church and renounces anti-semitism.

On Dec. 8 at Keene State College, the sisters of SBC will be performing a concert to raise money for their cause. Contact Tom White at KSC to see how you can be involved, to protest this group and reveal their true identity.

I hope Tom White draws upon La Salette Journey as a resource. Paul's posts destroy SBC credibility.

I think that the New Hampshire Attorney General should be sent a copy of the Chronicle episode as well as copies of the documentation showing how Louis Villarrubia fraudently told the Internal Revenue Service that his organization is Roman Catholic to obtain exemption status.

This organization is finished thanks to your efforts. Well done.
