Mr. Marvin Schur didn't fail his country. But his country failed him

A veteran of the Second World War, Mr. Schur deserved better.

Oakland County's deputy chief medical examiner says Schur died a "slow, painful death" from hypothermia.

I read the article regarding this poor man's death - this is heartless. I recommend this man's soul to Mary's prayers.

Remember the AIG blowout party last October? The company sent executives on a $440,000 retreat to a posh California resort which included $23,380 worth of spa treatments for AIG employees.

$440,000 for rich executives. A cruel death sentence for an aging veteran. Is there still hope for America?

I recommend our sin-soaked culture of greed to Our Lady of Guadalupe: Patroness of the Americas. Without her intercession, we are without hope.
