Mark Mallett: Manipulator?

Several days ago Mark Mallett, who claims to receive special revelations from Heaven, asserted that those who are concerned about Pope Francis and his words and actions or who ask difficult questions are motivated by a demonic spirit of suspicion.  See here.

Mr. Mallett was so upset that some Catholics have concerns that he made the claim that if Francis were an anti-Pope, it would mean the Gates of Hell had prevailed against the Church.  I refuted that asinine claim by noting that the Church has had more than 30 anti-popes.

Now Mr. Mallett has written: "Tonight, the words came to me.... "Even if an anti-pope were to someday take the seat of Peter, I would not fear or be anxious, because my Lord is still building the house."

(And Francis is not.)"

Recognizing that his first attempt at manipulation failed, now Mr. Mallett is saying that even if Francis were an anti-pope, it would not be a matter for concern.  Wait a minute, I thought it meant the Gates of Hell had prevailed?

These voices Mr. Mallett is hearing, are they from Heaven or are they merely the result of an active imagination and a super-sized ego?

When cornered, claim to hear voices which indicate you are right.

How convenient!

It's my impression that Mark Mallett has delusions of grandeur. His effort to place faithful Catholics in a ghetto merely for questioning this Pope's words and actions is unfortunate. But his suggestion that we have succumbed to an evil spirit or that we have made ourselves "little popes" is an obscenity.

Thus pope does not have any moral authority to toss the magisterial documents of previous popes into the garbage. Abd our saying so doesn't make us schismatic or evil.

Mallett says he hears voices. I hope it's not demons he is listening to.

Paul, your comment under your previous post is problematic for Mallets contention that we have nothing to worry about in Francis:

"Why would Francis tell a woman, whose son has stopped going to Mass, that what really matters is that he's a good boy?...

The Mass is no longer necessary for salvation? How so?

And what does Francis mean when he says that, "God is not a divine being"?

What then is God if not divine?

I think that at some point the excuses for this man need to stop."

I challenge Mallett to address such bizarre comments.

In Matthew 26:24, Jesus, referring to Judas, says: "The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man shall be betrayed: it were better for him, if that man had not been born."

Now, Pope Francis is saying that Judas, the traitor who sold out the Son of Man for thirty pieces of silver, was no more a sinner than anyone else.

Why then does Jesus speak so harshly of Judas, saying that it would be better if he had never been born?

Anyone?

Pope Francis has spoken of Judas in such terms before. Does anyone else think this strange?

Where does Jesus speak about Peter, James or John or ANY of the other Apostles in such terms?

Show me the Scripture!

In an article which may be found at the EWTN website, and written by David Kerr, we read, "Pope Benedict XVI said Sunday that a lack of sincerity in life is “the mark of the devil” as witnessed in the decision of Judas Iscariot to continue following Jesus Christ even after he had ceased to believe in him.

“The problem is that Judas did not go away, and his most serious fault was falsehood, which is the mark of the devil. This is why Jesus said to the Twelve: ‘One of you is a devil’,” said the Pope in his midday Angelus address to pilgrims at Castel Gandolfo Aug. 26."

Pope Benedict XVI stresses that Jesus said one of the Apostles is a devil.

One of them. Not all of them. And Francis says Judas was no more a sinner than the others?

Why would Francis suggest such a thing? Any ideas?

I was unable to make my point with Mark in several exchanges regarding concern with Pope Francis-I kept hearing straw men and misrepresentation of my concerns. I gave up and I don't read his material anymore

Even some of the elect. The Third Secret of Fatima deals with apostasy, a corrupt hierarchy which will lead souls to perdition and Chastisement.

I couldn't get to reasonable points of argumentation with Mark because is found my points misrepresented or ignored. It seemed like he didn't want a reasoned exchange of ideas/concerns. I stopped communicating with him because I didn't think he was fair. I don't know.

Mallett won't address them, rather he'll just go on ignoring the questions and making unjust assumptions about the faithful Catholics who dare to object to Pope Francis' many disturbing statements.

Ted and Maureen Flynn (20th century): Catholic prophecy warns us of severe problems facing the papacy in these end times…chaos will be within our midst. An Antipope will seize papal authority…It will be those who hold fast to the truths of the faith who will be labeled as the perpetrators of this horrible schism, according to some visionaries. (Flynn Ted and Maureen. The Thunder of Justice. MaxKol Communications, Inc. Sterling (VA), 1993, p. 255)

Are we not beginning to witness this? Faithful Catholics are demonized for holding fast to the truths of the faith.
