Happy Birthday Padre Pio

"I have often raised my hand in the silence of the night and in my solitary cell, blessing you all and presenting you to Jesus and to our father, St. Francis of Assisi." - Padre Pio of Pietrelcina
I am blessed to share a birthday with Padre Pio. And I pray to him often. Pio used to say, "Pray, hope and don't worry." We all need to heed his advice. Especially in our troubled times.
Meditation: Matthew 6: 25-34.

"Pray, pray to the Lord with me, because the whole world needs prayer. And every day, when your heart especially feels the loneliness of life, pray. Pray to the Lord, because even God needs our prayers." - St. Pio of Pietrelcina

In 1996 my mother died peacefully in her sleep but it was a big shock.
then 8 week later my dad had a massive heart attack but my brother did cpr, my dad was in hospital for 12weeks. he went to live in an old people's home and it was there that I met my future wife after 3 years on visiting every single day.
I wrote an essay called Padre Pio and Me it explains it better
www.michaelgcasey.multiply.com has the essay on it attached to one of my blogs. Anyways I know Padre Pio saved my dad

Michael, that's wonderful. Thank you for sharing that testimony with readers of this Blog. May St. Pio continue to intercede for all of our needs.

Thank you Praise God. And what a wonderful story about you and your husband. May 25th is also the Feast day of Venerable Bede, Mary Magdalene de Pazzi, and Pope St. Gregory VII (a great reformer).
