Physician Heal Thyself

New Hampshire's homosexual "Bishop," V. Gene Robinson - the same intellectual giant who said that the Vatican's ban on ordaining men with a homosexual inclination was "vile" and represented an "act of violence" - is now receiving treatment for alcoholism: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/14/AR2006021400820.htm/

This story reminds me of Jimmy Swaggart and his attacks on the Catholic Church. Mr. Swaggart, a shining example of Christian charity, had referred to the Catholic Church - the Mystical Body of Christ - as a "whore" and said that unless John Paul II and Mother Teresa came out of that "whore" they would be damned to Hell. Not long after, Mr. Swaggart was caught by law enforcement frequenting a brothel.

First take the plank out of thine own eye....you know the rest.

Paul

I wonder why Mr. Robinson drinks so heavily. Could it be that he isn't "gay" after all?

There are plenty of people who love to bash the Church founded by Christ but who just cannot steel themselves to admit their own faults.

I've come across many people who are critical of the Church and the sins of some of her members but who are living lives which are truly immoral.

Gene Robinson is a sodomite who has now admitted to being an alcoholic. If the Episcopal church in NH wants him as their "spiritual leader," that's their affair. But the man should refrain from issuing hateful rhetoric against the Catholic Church.

Right Jerry. While it is admirable that Robinson is getting help for his substance abuse problems, still, the fact that he is having sexual relations with another man is just, well, vile to use his own word.

Rather than throwing stones at the Catholic Church, Robinson should examine his own disordered life, repent of his mortal sin, and return to a life of grace.

The Anglican church, like most liberal churches which have adopted a watered-down theology which tends to do away with sin, is in decay. If you don't believe in anything anymore, what's the purpose of getting out of bed on Sunday morning?
