New Order Emerging: Preparation for the reign of Antichrist

Religious Preparation: Both Intellectual and Moral

(For the Reign of Antichrist):

"But how shall he deprive the world of Christianity and have himself adored as God? Alas, it is only too true that the minds and hearts of men are admirably disposed for revolution and consequently ready to accept and bear the cruel yoke of such a tyrant.

Revolution as the word itself implies means a subversion, but a subversion of all that is true, good, beautiful, and grand in the universe. It is the subversion of religion, representing its dogmas as myths and its moral teachings as tyranical. It is the subversion of authority. Licentiousness under the name of liberty becomes the order of the day; each one is invested with the right to govern himself.

It is the subversion of reason: and do we not find leading minds in some of the most enlightened nations denying the principle of contradiction and maintaining the absolute identity of all beings?

Revolution is therefore essentially destructive, and it becomes cosmopolitan by the action of secret societies scattered throughout the world. Is it not true to say that the 'mystery of iniquity' is prepared in secret revolutionary dens?

But it does not suffice to destroy; it is absolutely necessary to build up again. The world cannot subsist long in a vacuum. It must have a religion; it must have a philosophy; it must have an authority. Revolution will furnish all these.

What frightful immorality must follow in the train of this shameless prostitution of religion! Never has the threefold concupiscence made greater ravage among mankind. And this is the religion sought and hoped for as the cherished boon of the aspirations of our modern free thinkers.

To our Christian philosophy, the honor of humanity's revolution will substitute a babel of extravagant and absurd ideas. Instead of a mild and efficient authority consecrated alike by Church and state, despotism* and anarchy will rise up and contend for the shreds of religious liberty and human policy...if the state of perversion continue for a while longer, he [Antichrist] will find the world prepared to receive and serve him." (Rev. P. Huchede, History of Antichrist, pp. 13-14, Tan Books).
Francis Cardinal George has already spoken of an emerging despotism while Cardinal Pell has warned that secularism is becoming totalitarian (see here). Meanwhile, some Catholics would have us believe that our present-day society is really no more evil than society was in days gone by (see the comments section of this post for example).

Fr. Huchede quotes from Tacitus in his important work on the reign of Antichrist: "O homines ad servitutem promptos!" Which is translated: O man, how prompt to slavery!

Don't wee see this if we're honest? Today, everything is considered changeable. Tired of Biblical prohibitions - not to mention the natural law - against homosexuality? Agitate for change. Tired of God's Commandment "Thou shalt not kill"? Fight for a "woman's right to choose." Sleepy on Sunday mornings or want to shop at the Mall rather than keep the sabbath day holy? No more Blue laws.

There is revolution everywhere. People are leaving the churches and living lives of immorality. They even celebrate homosexuality and lesbianism with parades.

I think most Catholics will quickly succumb to the seduction of Antichrist. It is easy to compromise. Easy to fall asleep. Much more difficult to stay awake with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

As this article explains:

025688.html America is on the verge of total economic collapse. This, in turn, will dispose people to accept the Man of Sin. I found it absolutely terrifying to watch Obama grin and laugh while he discussed the faltering economy with 60 minutes' Steve Kroft. On the Today Show this morning, one reporter dismissed concerns about Obama's attitude (something akin to Nero fiddling while Rome burned) and said he was having a "zen moment" and "rising above it all."

Really? How comforting.

The Fathers and Doctors of the Church were all in agreement regarding an individual Antichrist. One of the latest Saints to be declared a Doctor of the Church [St. Therese of Lisieux] was quoted in a Michael Brown article as having written these words in her diary:

"Martyrdom was the dream of my youth and this dream has grown with me with Carmel's cloisters. Like You, my Adorable Spouse, I would be scourged and crucified. I would die flayed like St. Bartholomew. I would be plunged into boiling oil like St. John; I would undergo all the tortures inflicted upon the martyrs. With St. Agnes and St. Cecelia, I would present my neck to the sword, and like Joan of Arc, my dear sister, I would whisper at the stake Your Name, O JESUS...

When thinking of the torments which will be the lot of Christians at the time of Anti-Christ [our italics], I feel my heart leap with joy and I would that these torments be reserved for me."

And yet, some Catholics either rejct the idea of an individual Antichrist or they serve his interests by attempting to convince others that this is theology-fiction or that the times we live in "really aren't that bad."

These Catholics are not serving truth. They are preparing others for the lie. For the deception of the Antichrist.
