United Kingdom: Dr. Hans-Christian Raabe, a Christian medical doctor, is dismissed from Government Advisory Council because of his involvement in a study linking homosexuality to child sex offenses

Europe for Christ is reporting that:

Dr Hans-Christian Raabe, a Christian medical doctor who was appointed to the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) by James Brokenshire, drug minister in January 2011, has been dismissed in February 2011 because of the disclosure of his involvement in the 2005 scientific study linking homosexuality to child sex offenses.

Commenting on his dismissal Dr Raabe said: “My appointment has been revoked based on the wrong perception that I could potentially discriminate against gay people – something I have never done, neither in my private nor professional life.” He added: “My appointment has merely been revoked as a result of my views on matters completely unrelated to drugs policy.”

The controversy stems from a report, entitled ‘Gay Marriage And Homosexuality: Some Medical Comments`, which Dr Raabe and six other medical practitioners co-authored in February 2005, and which claimed that there are "a disproportionately greater number of homosexuals among paedophiles."

The report stated: "Any attempts to legalise gay marriage should be aware of  the link between homosexuality and paedophilia," and then, "While the majority of homosexuals are not involved in paedophilia, it is of grave concern that there is a disproportionately greater number of homosexuals among paedophiles and an overlap between the gay movement and the movement to make paedophilia acceptable."

Ironically, this conclusion was supported by a 1998 document from the Home Office, the department responsible for Dr. Raabe’s removal from the drugs panel, that said, “approximately 20 to 33% of child sexual abuse is homosexual in nature.” Given that official figures released last year showed only one per cent of the population is homosexual, supporters of Dr Raabe say same-sex child abuse is significantly over-represented. Some academics sidestep the issue by arguing that child abuse is another sexual orientation.

A spokesman for the Home Office said: “Dr Raabe’s appointment to the ACMD has been revoked and we will be starting a recruitment campaign for a replacement GP shortly.” Commenting on Dr Raabe‘s dismissal the Home Office said that his "failure to disclose a report which he co-authored which links homosexuality to paedophilia raises concerns over his credibility to provide balanced advice on drug misuse issues and impacts on the smooth-running of the ACMD."

Dutch psychologist Gerard J.M. van den Aardweg, Ph.D., a specialist on homosexuality, says that the claim that homosexuality is normal is one of those statements that are "so foolish that only intellectuals could believe them." It is like saying that anorexia nervosa is healthy. See here. Dr. Aardweg notes that, "The term neurotic describes such relationships well. It suggests the ego-centeredness of the relationship; the attention-seeking instead of loving...Neurotic, in short, suggests all kinds of dramas and childish conflicts as well as the basic disinterestedness in the partner, notwithstanding the shallow pretensions of 'love.' Nowhere is there more self-deception in the homosexual than in his representation of himself as a lover. One partner is important to the other only insofar as he satisfies that other's needs. Real, unselfish love for a desired partner would, in fact, end up destroying homosexual 'love'!" (Dr. Gerard J.M. van den Aardweg, The Battle for Normality, Ignatius Press, 1997, pp. 62-63).

Of course, anyone who - like Dr. Hans-Christian Raabe, dares to challenge the new orthodoxy and to tell the truth about homosexuality, will find themselves under fire from forces which are determined to stamp out any and all opposition to their anti-God, anti-family agenda.

SILENCING CONSERVATIVE VOICES

buy microsoft office 2010 home and professional oem download February 18, 2011

Catholic League president Bill Donohue looks at attempts to silence conservative voices:

We recently learned that 74 Democrats have asked U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself if the health care bill comes before the high court. The reason? His wife supports the Tea Party and it is against the health care law. On Monday, disciplinary hearings will start against former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline. The reason? He should have recused himself from investigating George Tiller, the infamous late-term abortionist, because he holds pro-life views and was allegedly "obsessed" with Tiller.

If this is the standard for recusal, then the following need to recuse themselves from all cases involving abortion: U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ninth Circuit Judge Stephen Reinhardt and New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Ginsburg's obsession with abortion is uncontested: she co-founded the Women's Rights Project at the ACLU.

Reinhardt is married to Ramona Ripston, who retired last year as the executive director of the Southern California ACLU; she has been obsessed with abortion rights for decades.

Schneiderman's father is the former treasurer of NARAL, the most radical pro-abortion organization in the nation; this connection has already led the AG to recuse himself in a case involving Kelli Conlin, the former NARAL New York president. Conlin is accused of ripping off NARAL for meals, a summer rental in the Hamptons, clothes, and more than $100,000 on car services. Schneiderman should now pledge to recuse himself from all future cases involving abortion.

What's good for the goose, should be good for the gander.

Looks like Dr. Raabe and his associates hit a nerve with the study. Homosexuality is a psychopathology. There is no sense pretending that it's something else.

Paul,

I disagree with you on many things but please take this as a genuine question as I am trying to understand the reasoning behind the anti-gay mind.

I do not understand the pretext behind Dr Raabe's comment "Any attempts to legalise gay marriage should be aware of the link between homosexuality and paedophilia,"

if we assume that there *is* a link between homosexuality and pedophilia (if there is really evidence for this then we have to take it seriously) then I still can't see how gay marriage is anything to do with it. How does allowing gays to marry other adult gays lead to an increase in pedophilia? Shouldn't it lead to a decrese if anything? Some people are gay and a some of them are pedophiles. What has gay marriage got to do with it? Some straight men are pedophiles but we wouldn't be proposing banning straight-weddings as a sensible strategy to reduce the number or crimes fo straight pedophiles.

Unless there is a line of reasoning that explains how allowing gays to get married leads to more pedophilia then I genuinely don;t understand Dr Raabe's argument and his throw away comment about gay marriage are irrelevent to his line of argument (which as it is suported by evidence we cannot be dismissed). They simply cloud the issue and make him sound like a bigot even if he is not.

Unless people like Dr Rabbe set out proper lines of reasoning I am affraid that they do appear to be driven by prejudice agaisnt gay people rather than proper scientific concern for the truth.

Anonymous, first of all, moral opposition toward homosexuality has nothing to do with prejudice against a group of people. As Christians, we believe that homosexual acts are gravely sinful and that we have a duty - in love - to proclaim this to the world. And this because Revelation tells us that people who engage in such activity cannot and will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

I suspect Dr. Raabe said that, "Any attempts to legalise gay marriage should be aware of the link between homosexuality and paedophilia" because many same-sex couples will want to adopt. This would give them access to children yes?

I suspect this is Dr. Raabe's concern.

Perhaps you should contact Dr. Raabe directly?
