Prime Minister Gordon Brown issues a religious call for a New World Order at St. Paul's Cathedral

Mr. Brown is urging people to unite to forge a new "global society" based upon humanitarian principles. As we move toward one world government*, the new humanitarian religion will become more and more aggressive. Catholicism, its greatest enemy, must be overcome at all cost**. To this end, ecclesiastical masonry (see here and here) has inflitrated the Church.

Through one of the characters in his book The Lord of the World, Robert Hugh Benson describes this humanitarian religion which is to overcome the Catholic Church: "Humanitarianism...is becoming an actual religion itself, though anti-supernatural. It is a Pantheism. Pantheism deifies all nature, God is the world, but naturally, man above all is God since he is the highest expression of nature. It is a religion devoid of the 'super' natural, because since God is nature itself, there is no longer a distinction between Creator and creature. The creature is God and hence arbitrator of his own destiny and establishes the moral law for himself. Nature, and man is its highest expression, has all the divine attributes. Humanitarianism is a religion devoid of the supernatural. It is developing a ritual under Freemasonry; it has a creed, 'God is man'; and the rest. It has, therefore, a real food of a sort to offer religious cravings: it idealizes, and yet makes no demands upon the spiritual faculties. Then, they have the use of all the churches except ours, and of all the Cathedrals; and they are beginning at last to encourage sentiment. Then they may display their symbols and we may not..."

The new humanitarian religion, which is anti-supernatural, must absorb Christianity as it prepares for the entrance of the Man of Sin. Catholics who maintain a devotion to the Holy Eucharist and Our Lady must be first ostracized and later eliminated as incompatible with the New Order. On March 11, 1995, Our Lady told Fr. Gobbi that, "In the Church, the great apostasy, which will spread throughout the whole world, will be brought to its completion; the schism will take place through a general alienation from the Gospel and from the true faith. There will enter into the Church the man of iniquity, who opposes himself to Christ, and who will bring into her interior the abomination of desolation, thus bringing to fulfillment the horrible sacrilege, of which the Prophet Daniel has spoken."
* Russia is calling for a "new world reserve currency" which will be necessary for this one-world government. See here. The stage is set for the entrance of the Man of Sin, the Antichrist. There are increasing calls for a watered-down ecumenical church based on humanitarian principles. Which is exactly what Prime Minister Gordon Brown is calling for. The Catholic Church will have to be dismantled. Man must be deified: "Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.
** Alice Bailey, who co-founded the Lucis Trust (dedicated to Lucifer, see here), had this to say about a New Age of Aquarius - which she insisted must inevitably replace the Piscean or Christian Age:
"They [New Agers who belong to the Aquarian Age] will be characterized by the freedom to think as they choose which they will allow their adherents; they will refuse to emphasize any particular teacher, Bible, or organization as the sole repository of truth, but will accord an equal recognition to all groups who seek to present knowledge of God as it can be gained through science, religion, art or philosophy...They will be inclusive, not exclusive; they will emphasize principles not personalities [such as Christ, my note], service not selfish pursuits, and by the broadness of their vision and the trueness of their perspective, they will lead humanity towards a consummation of universal recognized unity..." Consecrate yourself to Our Lady and prepare for a persecution against faithful Christians the likes of which the world has never seen. Jeanne Le Royer, also known as Sister Mary of the Nativity, prophesied that: "Many precursors, false prophets, and members of infernal secret societies, worshippers of Satan, shall impugn the most sacred dogmas and doctrines of our holy religion, shall persecute the faithful, shall commit abominable actions; but the real and extreme abomination and desolation shall more fully be accomplished during the reign of Antichrist...When the time of the Antichrist is near, a false religion will appear which will be opposed to the unity of God and His Church...The nearer the time of the end, the more the darkness of Satan will spread on earth, the greater will be the number of the children of corruption, and the number of the just will correspondingly diminish."

"There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved." (Acts 4:12).

The New Age - the Age of Aquarius - will not accept this truth. Ms. Bailey said so.

What gets me is that even some Catholic bloggers try to get us to believe that our times are really no worse that previous times. I get the sense these people want to lull others to sleep so that they will not recognize the signs of the times. But if your eyes are open and you are spiritually awake, you will quickly discern these signs which are falling into place.

There's a lot of unrest in England right now and I think the PM (and many others) wants to capitalize on that to advance the NWO.

For CNN

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Can this G-20 summit prove to be anything more than group therapy for a bunch of fingernail-gnawing, troubled individuals?

Obama and Brown want financial stimulus assurances from the G-20

The prospects are not good.

The men and women called together in London by UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown to counter an economic slump are politicians -- just at a time when the world's electorates are demonstrating their lack of faith in governments and in their ability to understand, let alone sort out, the economic mess.

Thirty, 20, even 10 years back there used to be some belief that getting the power-players together could solve problems, or at least give others a push in doing so.

But it was once said of a former U.S. Secretary of State, "There was never any world situation so bad that a few well-chosen words from John Foster Dulles couldn't make it a hundred times worse."

The main task of this London summit may be simply to avoid doing that.

The British talking down of expectations over the past few days has been significant. Up front, on camera, ministers make optimistic noises. Behind the scenes diplomats warn of a potential lose-lose scenario.

If the summit fails to agree, it will destroy what is left of any confidence in the world's trading centers. Who's who at the G-20

But if the G-20 leaders do sign up to an agreement it is likely to be so anodyne that it won't make any difference, other than boosting a few participants' opinion poll ratings at home a notch or two for being seen to try.

It was always unreal to imagine that the economic ministers of the G-20 nations were going to re-write their budgets in 24 hours in London.

And since the G-20 doesn't have a permanent secretariat, who is going to enforce anything they do agree?

The run-up to the summit has revealed essential differences in approach between the principals.

U.S. President Barack Obama and Brown both favor driving on fiscal stimulus, even if the governor of the Bank of England is cautioning his prime minister he can't afford to throw any more money at the problem. Obama, Brown together before the G-20 summit

Brown and Obama have limited room for maneuver since both their countries have such hefty current account and budget deficits.

They just don't have the money to do it themselves and they may have trouble persuading those who do have the cash to use it.

In an uncomfortable reminder of serious divisions over the Iraq war, Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel and France's President Nicolas Sarkozy, each with more national traditions than Obama and Brown, and with their welfare states already pumping money into their economies as unemployment increases, are pursuing a different agenda.

Blaming "Anglo-Saxon economics" and dodgy banking practices for the mess, they don't want more funds injected. Watch the view from France

They want to focus on tougher regulation of the financial community. They want the summit to start re-writing the global rulebook on capitalism.

This week's London Summit brings together the leaders of the world's 20 largest economic powers, known as the Group of 20, to discuss the global financial crisis and decide new measures to set the world on a more stable economic footing. Sarkozy, a man constitutionally uncomfortable unless the spotlight is shining on him, has even threatened to walk out of the G-20 proceedings rather than sign up to anything he doesn't consider tough enough on reining back tax havens, policing hedge funds and restricting the bonus culture.

Facing growing unpopularity at home, he is back on the "moral capitalism" kick he evidenced when holding the EU presidency.

The intriguing thing is that the economic crisis and Brown's lining up with Obama, who has proclaimed his belief in the enduring "special relationship" with Britain, has revived the Franco-German alliance which used to dominate EU affairs and which had seemed to wither under Merkel and Sarkozy.

She doesn't like his touchy-feely ways, he finds her incremental style of politics frustrating. They had drifted apart, but they are back sharing a political tent.

Their agreement does not just make life uncomfortable for Brown.

It means that on his first trip outside the U.S., Obama is facing unexpected tensions with instinctive allies and the possibility of being associated with discord and failure.

He must be disappointed too at the overall contribution from the EU, which sees many of its newer members to the east struggling for survival in the economic slowdown.

The EU response has been insignificant, poorly co-coordinated, and divided.

Jose Manuel Barroso, the president of the European Commission, has outlined six areas on which the Europeans hope the summit will focus.

They include, tactfully, both Brown's fiscal stimulus and Sarkozy/Merkel's tougher regulation of markets.

The big question on the fiscal stimulus front is: What will China do?

Brown's hope is that China, worried about the safety of its money invested in the U.S., will be ready to commit extra funds to fighting the world recession.

But if he agrees to do so, President Hu Jintao will surely exact a price.

Already the G-8 countries have seemingly conceded that the world's current problems are too big for them to solve and that G-20 is a more appropriate forum.

If China comes up with the money to help, it will need assurances that it will in future enjoy greater power within such multilateral institutions as the IMF and the World Bank.

The U.S. and Europe, who have dominated the G-8, now have little option too but to accept a new world order.

The G-20 meetings (remember that chap George Bush who called one in Washington last November?) have given Asia, India, China and Latin America a much-needed voice at the top table.

Whatever the outcome in London it is unlikely now that the G-8 alone will ever carry the same sway.

And not surprisingly, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who hosts this summer's G-8 in Sardinia, has proposed that its gathering should be immediately followed by one of the G-20.

Wow. Deep stuff. I'll have to read this a couple times to let it seep in.

As to Stewart, I don't know. I jut finished a Hagiography of St. Athanasius (sp). The age of the Arian heresy was a pretty nasty time for Orthodox (in the pre-schisim sense) Christians, and they had the force of the Roman hobnail to back them up.

I don't know if then was better, or worse, than now.

World Renowned Canadian Novelist Michael O'Brien Warns about Globalization and New World Order

By John-Henry Westen

OTTAWA, April 1, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In an extensively researched article, 'Globalization and the New World Order,' which has been reproduced widely during the past week, the well-known Canadian author, Michael D. O'Brien, discusses recent developments in globalization and what they may portend for the future. (To read the complete article see: www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009_docs/GlobalizationFinal.pdf)

O'Brien warns that the globalization we are currently experiencing has the unprecedented potential for bringing about a one-world government, with the subsequent dangers to individual and national freedoms. O'Brien cites the devastating effect of the E.U. and the U.N. on the "moral and psychological geography of man," notably through their anti-family and anti-population policies.

He notes that the original post-war founders of the European Economic Community, from which the E.U. evolved, envisioned a federalism of independent states informed by Christian ethics. Says O'Brien: "This concept was gradually and deliberately mutated by secular humanists into its present openly anti-Christian policies and the creation of a continental super-state. The process has proven so effective in shifting self-determining nations into submission to larger governing bodies that it cannot help but be emulated on a still larger scale."

Citing John Paul II's encyclical Centessimus Annus and the writings of Benedict XVI, O'Brien points out that no truly human system of government can exist unless it places itself "at the service of human freedom in its totality." This cannot be bypassed, O'Brien argues, "without immense negative consequences in terms of human misery and destruction of human life. This concept must be a non-negotiable part of the foundation of any authentically human system of economics and government."

To read the complete article see: www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009_docs/GlobalizationFinal.pdf

The following excerpts from the article are especially to be noted:

QUOTE: "Those who undertake the building of an ideal planetary society will find that it is a great deal less easy to accomplish than they anticipated. That will be their moment of testing. In the best-case scenario, they might come to admit that genuine diversity and a broad spectrum of independent sovereignties is, after all, a healthier system of governing the people of the world-imperfect as always, but the best means of maintaining freedom. Or, driven by a pride that approaches the level of satanic, they may push onward, imposing the new order regardless of the opposition, dismissing whatever valid arguments the resistance may put forward. And if the resistance is strong, a very big stick will be needed. There will be imprisonment for those who resist (or even dissent from) the perceived 'common good.' The new rulers will justify the loss of freedoms by promoting everywhere the illusion that the successful realization of the dream is the highest good, worth any sacrifice. ('It is better that one man should die than the entire nation be destroyed,' said Caiaphas).

Translated into modern terms: 'It is better that nations should die, and some of their peoples die, than our window of opportunity for global control be lost.' Formed by and living by the deformed ethic of 'the end justifies the means', they will consider themselves to be the true visionaries, the saviours of the world. In a phrase, this is secular messianism. (see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 676)

QUOTE: "It is in the nature of secular messianists to believe that if mankind will not cooperate, then mankind must be forced to cooperate- for its own good, of course. They recognize that the leap from an era of nation-states to an era of one world government will not be achieved without conscious effort and a good deal of chance. They would be blind not to see the grave problems in the present world as opportunities, as necessary creative disintegration, as the catalyst in the transforming experiment. In such a situation, management by crisis overrides authentic exercise of human freedom and responsibility. But this alone will not achieve their goals. They must also capture the popular imagination with a new global ethic, one that sweeps aside the protests of those who adhere to traditional morality, consigning us to 'the garbage heap of history,' and establishing a dangerously self-righteous moralism in its place (for example, environmentalism as eco-spirituality, or the negation of gender as 'liberation')."

QUOTE: "The history of oppressive governments is the history of politicians attempting to save the world on their own terms, cut off from the guiding principles of moral absolutes. ….If we seek to understand our times with any proximate coherence, we should understand this: Every system of totalitarian rule, including and between the poles of brutal tyranny and soft-spoken control, have this in common: 1) the rejection of binding moral absolutes established by a transcendent Being; and thus: 2) the minimizing of the absolute value of human life, and 3) the elevation of the State (malignant and seemingly benign alike) as the final arbiter of good and evil.

QUOTE: "The truth is that all systems that seek to rule the Family of Man with either total or selective contempt for some portion of that family, in the end will destroy the family itself. Such systems are inherently anti-human, and thus they are also anti-Christ. It is a simple fact that all the worst manifestations of the spirit of Antichrist in history have been immediately preceded by apostasy from the Christian faith. We are now living in the midst of the greatest apostasy from the Christian faith in the history of the Church. This apostasy has been made possible not only by the external pressures brought to bear on believers by the spirit of the world, by the sins and errors of unbelievers. It has occurred largely because of the internal betrayal of the Faith by false teachers who have arisen among us, those who gradually seized our institutions in the particular churches (university faculties and other levels of education, some seminaries, diocesan organs of formation in faith, catechetical programs, and so forth) and turned them to their own purposes, which were far from the mind of Christ and far from the heart of the Church."

Really? You would equate the heresy of Arianism with the abortion, homosexuality, pormography, crime and general licentiousness of today?

You don't see our age as particularly evil? Funny, Pope John Paul II would have disagreed with you. He said that our era marks a "final confrontation" between the Gospel and the anti-Gospel.

So when the Antichrist begins his persecution against the Churches and our era marks more martyrs than all previous eras, you won't see this as anything unusual. Got it.

G-20 Makes Six Pledges Toward New World Order

In a press conference after the plenary session the British PM Gordon Brown read the communique of the G-20 leaders where the heads of the states have agreed to make six pledges to improve the world economy and emerge a "new world order."

Brown says that the world leaders have pledged to take global actions together and that a consensus is reached. One trillion dollars will be made available through the International Monetary Fund to boost the world economy

G-20 will take essential actions to rebuild confidence and trust in the financial system. There are no quick fixes, but the leaders pledge to act together to work things out.

The leaders will regulate credit rating agencies so they provide better pictures of economies and companies around the world helping investors to make wiser decisions. The leaders will end tax heavens and will bring end to banking secrecy.

Banking secrecy must come to end, says Gordon Brown. Tough standards and sanctions will be taken against those who don't come to light in the future.

IMF and the world bank will have a major role to play in the new world order and in the rebuilding of the world economies. IMF will provide the early warning mechanisms in the future.

G-20 leaders have agreed to implement new rules on executive pay and bonuses. The countries will encourage corporate responsibility.

Cleaning the Banks

G-20 takes action toward cleaning the banks and make them to act more responsibly.

G-20 pledges to restore global growth and hasten recovery to combat unemployment. These actions will create confidence. IMF is called to monitor their progress and warn when needed.

Leaders pledge to stengthen the independence of international financial and economic institutions. The pledge also includes giving emerging markets and developing markets greater responsibilies. The heads of the international institutions should be named based on merit.

The G-20 leaders pledge to kick start the international trade. Successful and growing international trade will boost global economy substantially. 250 billion will be provided in the next 2 years to aid this this goal. However, it was not clear if it will be in dollars or British Pounds.

The G-20 leaders pledge to make this global recovery fair and sustainable. There will be no walking away from the world's poorest. 50 billion will go to the poorest countries. Again from PM's speech it was not clear in what currency.

G-20 decided to meet later this year to measure the progress. The venue is not clear yet, but will be announced within few days. Today's decisions will not immediately solve the crisis, but the process has begun and this is a start.

The most important thing is that the largest countries in the world have agreed on a plan to aid the global economy. This G-20 will provide the biggest increase in resources in the history of the international institutions.

Gordon Brown made a very important announcement noting that "I think a New World order is emerging." The leaders expect it to be more sustainable and more open and more fairer global society.

In regard to the question about the international currency Brown said "we are reviewing the future of IM and WB and their role in the future. Issues about international currencies have not lead to detailed reports and proposals. Yes we will look at any proposal that comes forward. Right now the goal is to build confidence and recover."
