Is White House coordinating attack on DOMA?

From the OneNewsNow article:

"Attorney Mat Staver is convinced the Obama administration is behind a federal lawsuit filed yesterday in Boston challenging the constitutionality of the federal Defense of Marriage Act."

Staver, who is with Liberty Counsel, says, "That's [Obama's] political preference [that DOMA be overturned]...There's no doubt in my mind, absolutely no question at all, that he and some of those in the Department of Justice are coordinating with individuals - and perhaps even the attorney general in Massachusetts - to literally bring these lawsuits and have a very weak defense so that the courts will ultimately overturn it without having the politicians and the president go on record showing that they are in favor of same-sex marriage."

The Catholic Action League of Massachusetts has issued a statement which may be found here. Behind Obama's radical homosexual agenda is the desire to turn vices into gods. See here.

In his Encyclical Letter Humanum Genus [on Freemasonry], Pope Leo XIII reminded us that:

"...the fundamental doctrine of the naturalists, which they sufficiently make known by their very name, is that human nature and human reason ought in all things to be mistress and guide. Laying this down, they care little for duties to God, or pervert them by erroneous and vague opinions. For they deny that anything has been taught by God; they allow no dogma of religion or truth which cannot be understood by the human intelligence, nor any teacher who ought to be believed by reason of his authority. And since it is the special and exclusive duty of the Catholic Church fully to set forth in words truths divinely received, to teach, besides other divine helps to salvation, the authority of its office, and to defend the same with perfect purity, it is against the Church that the rage and attack of the enemies are principally directed.

In those matters which regard religion let it be seen how the sect of the Freemasons acts, especially where it is more free to act without restraint, and then let any one judge whether in fact it does not wish to carry out the policy of the naturalists. By a long and persevering labor, they endeavor to bring about this result - namely, that the teaching office and authority of the Church may become of no account in the civil State; and for this same reason they declare to the people and contend that Church and State ought to be altogether disunited. By this means they reject from the laws and from the commonwealth the wholesome influence of the Catholic religion; and they consequently imagine that States ought to be constituted without any regard for the laws and precepts of the Church."

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this was happening. Obama is trying to look like a moderate when behind the scenes he is an extreme leftist radical.

Obama told Pope Benedict XVI that he would work to reduce the number of abortions in the United States. Is he really committed to such a goal? Of course not. Read what Monsignor Michel Schooyans, professor emeritus of the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, had to say on the subject:

"The new president is...dragging the law into a process of regression that is altering the democratic nature of the society that elected him. In fact, a society that calls itself democratic but whose leaders, invoking subjective 'new rights,' permit the elimination of some categories of human beings, is a society that has already set out on the road of totalitarianism. According to the World Health Organization, 46 million abortions are performed worldwide each year. By revoking the legal provisions protecting life, Obama is expanding the gruesome list of the victims of criminal laws. The way has been opened for abortion to become a legal demand. The law itself can be thrown into disrepute whenever it is exploited and twisted to legalize anything whatsoever and is put, for example, at the service of a plan to eliminate the innocent. From this point on, the reality of the human being no longer has any importance.

The evident result of the change determined by Obama is that the number of abortions in the world will increase. President Bush had cut funding for programs that involve abortion, particularly outside of the United States. The reversal of this measure by the new administration limits the right of medical personnel to conscientious objection and allows Obama to increase funding for public and private organizations, both national and international, that develop programs of birth control, of 'maternity without risk,' of 'reproductive health' that include and promote abortion among their methods of contraception...

Now, since the influence of the United States is what matters most in international relations, bilateral and multilateral, and especially at the U.N., it can be predicted that sooner or later abortion will be presented at the U.N. as a 'new human right,' a right that permits demanding abortion. The result will be that there will no longer be any room in the law for conscientious objection. This same process will allow the president to express his desire to put other subjective 'new rights' on the list, like euthanasia, homosexuality, unilateral divorce, drug use, etc."

Obama wasn't honest with the Holy Father over abortion. And I agree with attorney Mat Staver that his administration is employing machiavellian tactics to advance same-sex "marriage" across the country.

Despite the claim that the Massachusetts suit is merely asking for federal recognition of its same-sex marriages to make such "marriage" and subsequent "families" eligible for various federal benefits--and not supposedly seeking the invalidation of all state laws limiting marriage to opposite-sex couples, the Volokh Conspiracy weblog concludes (http://volokh.com/posts/1247197594.shtml):

In that respect, Massachusetts' lawsuit is a cousin to the existing DOMA challenges. Success for Massachusetts would likely help advance a result it expressly disclaims: the invalidation of all laws excluding gay couples from marriage. The upshot, then, is that a lawsuit to protect state power against a one-size-fits-all federal definition of marriage would hasten a one-size-fits-all federal definition of marriage.

That Obama would resort to such devilish and underhanded tactics to favor the radical leftist agenda of an extremely tiny majority of homosexuals and lesbians speaks volumes. He is two-faced, pretending at Christianity to assuage the fears of serious Christians while promoting a sinful lifetyle and abortion-on-demand. Evil is all the more frightening when it attempts to masquerade as light.
