Clint Walker was an inspiration to me. He was the epitome of authentic masculinity. In all his roles, as in real life, he spoke quietly. He didn't have to act tough. He was tough.
Along with Carlos Ray Norris, Ed Parker, Bill Wallace and Yip Man, he influenced my life profoundly. Today, at age 52, I bench 650.
Clint belonged to a different time. A time when masculinity wasn't viewed as a disease or psychopathology.
He will be missed by many.
Eternal rest grant unto him , O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him .
May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Beautiful tribute to Clint here.

Oh, God rest his soul. He was a very good actor, handsome and rugged. Ah yes, when men were men and women were women, better times.
He was in a movie I just love, a comedy, with Doris Day and, I think, James Garner? It was well worth seeing, I think the name of it was Send Me No Flowers, and he was very good in it, as they all were.
Thank you for your comment Kathleen. Clint exemplified a rugged and balanced masculinity. Such isn't welcome in our sin-sick culture, tainted as it were, by the Cult of Softness.
