His Excellency, The Most Rev. John McCormack, has indicated that the faithful should refrain from participating in the spiritual exercises and activities of the Saint Benedict Center in Richmond, New Hampshire.
Lumen Gentium, No. 25:
"Among the more important duties of bishops that of preaching the Gospel has pride of place. For the bishops are heralds of the faith, who draw new disciples to Christ; they are authentic teachers, that is, teachers endowed with the authority of Christ, who preach the faith to the people assigned to them, the faith which is destined to inform their thinking and direct their conduct; and under the light of the Holy Spirit they make that faith shine forth, drawing from the storehouse of revelation new things and old (cf. Mt. 13:52); they make it bear fruit and with watchfulness they ward off whatever errors threaten their flock (cf. 2 Tim. 4-14). Bishops who teach in communion with the Roman Pontiff are to be revered by all as witnesses of divine and Catholic truth; the faithful, for their part, are obliged to submit to their bishops' decision, made in the name of Christ, in matters of faith and morals, and to adhere to it with a ready and respectful allegiance of mind."
Jesus told us that a tree is known by its fruits: http://www.spiritdaily.com/fruits.htm
"Please know that I will continue to pray for you and all those who are affected by difficulties that have been created by the Saint Benedict Center."
- The Rev. Edward J. Arsenault to Mrs. Terri O'Rorke, a New Hampshire resident who has been opposing the Saint Benedict Center in Richmond.
The fruit of the Saint Benedict Center cult is now being made manifest. And what a terrible fruit it is.

The Bishop has spoken. I call upon members of the SBC to obey the Bishop and to leave that cult and to once again embrace the plenitude of Catholic teaching as reflected in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
I join you in that call Roger. I think those who disobey the Bishop should be warned that failure to leave the SBC in Richmond will result in formal excommunication. I think then many would desert that sinking ship. It's only a matter of time in my opinion before we see mass defections from the organization.
It's definitely the beginning of the end for this hate group. Once credibility is gone, the rest follows like dominoes.
Thank you, Paul for getting this word out. We, here in Richmond, who have opposed so tirelessly, to the proposed expansion of this local hate group, are very grateful to you, Roger, Elizabeth, Michael and I know many more, who have given so freely their support, information, prayers and encouragement to all of us. Please stay with us, as it's not over yet!
Terri, the battle isn't over yet. You are right. But the cracks are appearing in the SBC structure. Paul has been covering the SBC in Richmond for some three years and word is starting to spread nationally. Your group's efforts have been most significant.
All of you remain in our prayers.
So-called "traditional" Catholic groups like the SBC really do a disservice to the Church and harm the faith life of many Catholics by confusing them. There are legitimate groups and organizations which promote the Tridentine Mass and which are not anti-semitic or which consider themselves "more Catholic than the Pope."
I think Andre Marie's silence these past two months is very revealing. The lies have caught up with the SBC.
We have been called every name in the book, including anti-Catholic. We have been financially hurt, falsely accused of assault and brought before a judge who proclaimed our innocence. We have lost jobs and have had threats made against us. We have had individuals perjure themselves in the hopes of ruining our lives.
What have we done??? We have exposed and shared the truth.
We have written letters to the Arch Diocese asking for clarification regarding a group wanting to expand-a group that, as we soon learned, is not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church.
We have dared to ask questions of these people. We have taken direct quotes from their website, from their speeches, and from local and national news and we have shared them with others.
Who are we???
We are young and old. We are gay and we are straight. We are Jews and we are Catholics. We are farmers, writers, educators, doctors, and lawyers. We are athletes and cripples. We are weavers, sculptors, mechanics, builders, cooks and bottle washers. We are single, we are married and we are divorced. We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We are diverse.
We are believers in what is right and fair and good. We all believe we owe it to our tiny town in the southwest corner of NH.
We ALL believe there is no place in our society for anti-Semitism and for individuals or groups that claim to be something they are not. We believe there is no place, anywhere, for a nationally known hate-group. SBC is, sadly, all of these things.
Richmond Rising.......please get a hold of one of us. We need you.
