The mark of the Beast...

"It forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to be given a stamped image on their right hands or their foreheads, so that no one could buy or sell except one who had the stamped image of the beast's name or the number that stood for its name." (Revelation 13: 16, 17).

There is another dimension to this being marked on the hand or the forehead. Our Lady told Father Gobbi of the Marian Movement of Priests:

"These are the times when the followers of him who opposes himself to Christ are being signed with his mark on the forehead and the hand.

The mark on the forehead and on the hand is an expression of a total dependency on the part of those who are designated by this sign. The sign indicates him who is an enemy of Christ, that is to say, the sign of the Antichrist. And his mark, which is stamped, signifies the complete belonging of the person thus marked to the army of him who is opposed to Christ and who fights against His divine and royal dominion.

The mark is imprinted on the forehead and on the hand. The forehead indicates the intellect, because the mind is the seat of the human reason. The hand expresses human activity, because it is with his hands that man acts and works. Nevertheless it is the person who is marked with the mark of the Antichrist in his intellect and in his will.

He who allows himself to be signed with the mark on his forehead is led to accept the doctrine of the denial of God, of the rejection of His law, and of atheism which, in these times, is more and more diffused and advertised. And thus he is driven to follow the ideologies in mode today and to make use of himself as a propagator of all the errors.

He who allows himself to be signed with the mark on his hand is obliged to act in an autonomous manner and independently of God, ordering his own activities to the quest of a purely material and terrestrial good. Thus he withdraws his action from the design of the Father, who wants to illumine it and sustain it by His divine Providence; from the love of the Son who makes human toil a precious means for one's own redemption and sanctification; from the power of the Spirit who acts everywhere to interiorly renew every creature.

He who is signed with the mark on his hand works for himself alone, to accumulate material goods, to make money his god and he becomes a victim of materialism. He who is signed with the mark on his hand works solely for the gratification of his own senses, for the quest of well-being and pleasure, for the granting of full satisfaction to all his passions, especially that of impurity, and he becomes a victim of hedonism.

He who is signed with the mark on his hand makes of his own self the center of all his actions, looks upon others as objects to be used and to be exploited for his own advantage and he becomes a victim of unbridled egoism and of lovelessness." (September 8, 1989, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary).

Michael Brown has reported that, "..the United States government (under President George Bush, who is supported by many evangelical Christians and conservative Catholics opposing such technology) gave its okay for use of microchip implantation in humans." Read here:

And so it begins.

I have often wondered if this mark or sign upon the hand and forehead is a real, tangible mark which we can see or one of a more spiritual nature...

On a more practical point, I fail to see how this chip could be implanted under the forehead - but certainly could beneath the skin of the hands of most people.

I think both Sanctus Belle. I was thinking the same as you about how this chip can be implanted under the forehead. Looking at the photo Paul provides, it doesn't look plausible. But if you read the articles from, the chip has been reduced greatly in size. There is now a chip roughly the size of a dot over the letter i or a period in a sentence.

Right Stewart. Sanctus, the photo of the chip I posted was more or less first generation. Hee is what an expert has to say about the size of the new "smart dust":

"A number for every item on the planet

RFID employs a numbering scheme called EPC (for "electronic product code") which can provide a unique ID for any physical object in the world. 6 The EPC is intended to replace the UPC bar code used on products today.

Unlike the bar code, however, the EPC goes beyond identifying product categories--it actually assigns a unique number to every single item that rolls off a manufacturing line. For example, each pack of cigarettes, individual can of soda, light bulb or package of razor blades produced would be uniquely identifiable through its own EPC number.

Once assigned, this number is transmitted by a radio frequency ID tag (RFID) in or on the product. These tiny tags, predicted by some to cost less than 1 cent each by 2004, are "somewhere between the size of a grain of sand and a speck of dust." They are to be built directly into food, clothes, drugs, or auto-parts during the manufacturing process.

Receiver or reader devices are used to pick up the signal transmitted by the RFID tag. Proponents envision a pervasive global network of millions of receivers along the entire supply chain -- in airports, seaports, highways, distribution centers, warehouses, retail stores, and in the home. This would allow for seamless, continuous identification and tracking of physical items as they move from one place to another, enabling companies to determine the whereabouts of all their products at all times."

Walmart has been using RFID technology for some time now in many products such as Gillette razors. Soon, the government will be using smart dust to spy on our every activity, who we associate with, what goes on at our Churches, prayer meetings etc. This will assist the State in exercising total control over whole populations.

hmmmm, thank you for the feedback. One has to wonder just what the government would do with so much information about everything we do. Are there warehouses large enough to store all this information? Are there enough people the gov't can employ to sift through all this information on the planet? I find this hard to wrap my head around. Seems a rather unwieldy plan. If the purpose is to persecute Christians/Jews then our constitution would first have to be abolished....or our government overthrown.

Our government will not have to be overthrown. As anon said, the U.S. government has already given its okay for use of microchip implantation in humans. Gradually this technology will be employed to persecute Christians (and possibly other groups as well). Not only can the technology send and store huge amounts of information in a miniscule space, but more importantly when those who refuse to take the chip are declared enemies of the state, they will not be able to buy or sell in the cashless society. This is exactly what Scripture says will happen in the last days.

I dont own any credit card...i aint material and a shopper addict but I am really saddened by this cashless society. The global financial crisis we are experiencing right now. We are affected by this most especially. I could see it in my neighbors and even in the hospital. My only fear now is my brother's hemo.I dont know what will happen on the next day. My only hope is to rely to Jesus and Mary for more graces. And let God's will be done.
