Signs...

The Church has now recognized an apparition of Our Lady to a 17th-century shepherd girl in the French Alps. See here. Our Lady foretold that this visit would come to light in the end times. See here.

"Most of us, however, had never before even heard of the message or apparitions of Notre Dame Du Laus. Even most Catholics in France have not heard of Notre Dame Du Laus. Why? Because our Lady's message to Benoite, aside from being filled with great hope, also had another aspect to it—an aspect that is anything but popular to the Church in the modern world. The message placed a tremendous amount of emphasis on the dangers of sin, the importance of repentance, the absolute "essential to salvation" nature of the Sacrament of Penance, and the necessity of receiving that Sacrament frequently.

During the lifetime of Benoite, and for centuries after her death, Laus was a place of great spiritual healing through the Sacrament of Penance. An incredible number of Catholics from every class (peasantry, gentry, and nobility) over the centuries since 1647 found their way back onto the road that leads to salvation, as a direct consequence of the message of Notre Dame Du Laus and the sanctity of the seer Benoite, who proclaimed that message to the world.

The sanctuary at Laus is called the "Refuge of Sinners" and it is, perhaps, due to its emphasis on the evil of sin that the message of Our Lady to Benoite has been all but "swept under the carpet" of Modernism in this our new age of 'enlightened,' 'grown-up' Catholicism*." (Michael Matt, Editor of The Remnant).

There are so many signs that appear to be converging: economic crisis, natural disasters all over the world - Myanmar being only the latest - apostasy, persecution of the Church (which is manifesting more and more).

I think we really need to pray, fast and discern as never before. The Devil is prowling around and is in the mood for a decisive battle.

Our Lady has said to many visionaries that we are now in the end times. This is yet another forceful reminder of that fact. Hopefully we will be hearing more about the apparition at Laus. My curiosity is definitely piqued.

The essential elements of the Laus message are the same as those of La Salette. The principal message is one of penance or reconciliation. One can only hope that this message is eventually welcomed by the vast majority of Catholics in America who seldom or never confess their sins and who have (as John Paul II once said)lost the very sense of sin.

I agree with all the commenters. We must all pray very often with all the devotion we can muster for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of souls. During this time of such a loss of the sense of sin, I fear how many are dying without contrition.

This is just totally awesome. I am going to share this apparition site with my pastor and encourage him to preach on the message of Laus and the need for penance.

When I read that the Laus apparition would be made more manifest in the end times, I had chills down my spine. What a tremendous prophecy with so much relevance for our times.
