Stormfront discussion forum defends the Saint Benedict Center in Richmond, NH.

Stormfront has initiated a discussion thread, which may be found here, in defense of the Saint Benedict Center in Richmond, New Hampshire. Information on the Stormfront website may be found at Wikipedia.

According to Wikipedia:

"The Stormfront White Nationalist Community is a white supremacist Internet forum. Founded in 1995, Stormfront is the Internet's first major hate site, though the website claims to be a forum for white nationalists and remains one of the most popular. The site received over 1500 hits each weekday as of 2005."

And on a related note, I have received an apology from an individual who calls himself "Tobias Torgerson" and "Tobias Petrus." In a comment he authored and which was published at the Blog SBC Watch (I have a printout of the whole thread), this confused individual asserted that, "Melanson accused the SBC of Neo-Nazism.." (Comment of November 29, 2007 at 4:46 PM, under the Blog Post entitled "Did the United States Bomb Nagasaki Japan to Eliminate the Catholics?").

In his apology, "Tobias" writes (in part): "..I did not intentionally commit libel...would you please take into account that in these matters people can make mistakes without malicious intent?"

Apology accepted "Tobias." Whoever you are. But your accusations did in fact constitute libel from an objective standpoint. Kindly check your facts before making such accusations in the future. I don't expect an apology from SBC Watch. I can only hope that this won't happen again.

It really is a shame that SBC Watch posted that comment. One has to wonder what motivated the decision to do so. Was this part of a broader agenda to discredit anyone and anything Catholic?

One still has to be concerned over the fact that a White Supremacist hate group is publically defending the SBC in Richmond.

Why are they defending the SBC? The answer is obvious. At least to me. They feel a philosophical kinship with the SBC.

I find it to be significant that a White Supremacist hate group would somehow identify itself with the cause of the SBC in New Hampshire. Need anyone say more?

Alzina, I couldn't have said it better. Stormfront has quoted from Doug Bersaw in the past. Now they are devoting an entire discussion thread to the SBC cult? What is the connection here? Is it simply ideological? Or are there deeper connections that we just don't know about? According to Russell Provost, both the FBI and the New Hampshire State Police paid a visit to the cult compound. The police reports should be made available through the Freedom of Information Act. Hopefully someone will procure these documents so that people can be made aware of what (if anything) law enforcement has found there.
