Pope Benedict XVI: Church needs purification

And that purification is coming.  Our Lady told Father Gobbi of the Marian Movement of Priests that very soon, "there will come to completion that fullness of time beginning with La Salette all the way to my most recent and present apparitions; the purification will come to its culmination; there will come to completion the time of the great tribulation, foretold in Holy Scripture, before the Second Coming of Christ; the mystery of iniquity, prepared for by the ever-increasing spread of apostasy, will become manifest; all the secrets which I have revealed to some of my children will come to pass and all the events which have been foretold will take place."

Most people today have become numb.  Even most within the Church no longer believe in prophecy because certain prophecies have not been fulfilled within their timetable.  Such people forget that our first Pope warned that God does not "delay" but is patient as He waits for His children to return to Him.  But the time of mercy is quickly fading.

The Church will be purified.  Our Lady has said so.  And Christ's Vicar is saying that the Church needs purification.  More than ever, we must avail ourselves of the sacraments.  Now is the time to reconcile with God.  Receive the Lord Jesus in Holy Eucharist, confess your sins, pray every day (and especially the Rosary), adore Jesus in the Eucharist.

Time is running out.  The Dies Irae is approaching.  The Day which makes even the angels tremble.  We need not fear if we are striving to live a godly life and trust in the Lord Jesus.  But God will not be mocked.

Why is America in such turmoil?

"For the hope of the wicked is as dust, which is blown away with the wind, and as a thin froth which is dispersed by the storm: and a smoke that is scattered abroad by the wind: and as the remembrance of a guest of one day that passeth by." (Wisdom 5:15).


Years ago, Father Albert J. Hebert, S.M., warned that because of abortion and homosexuality and "the many other sins that abound today, personal, familial, social and political, we can expect that there will be expanding natural disasters and new man-made ones. Such things as California fires and Florida freezes will increase. Hail, rain and river floods, tornados, typhoons, todal waves and the hurricane will continue increasingly to be God's cleansing tools. volcanos will spout red lava and hot ash, mud slides and avalanches will roar down mountain sides. Acid rain, chemical pollution explosions too will take their toll...

Depressions, financial collapses, hunger marches, strikes, panics and riots, all will come as also more Ethiopias of famine and deprivation. Satanic and occult cults, conspirators and secret society members will grow more active. Walls of prisons and jails will bulge even more. False philosophies and isms of all kinds [such as Socialism, my note] will flourish....

But there is the good side also, which, of course, is mainly for repentant people and the suffering good. A message from the Guardian Angel and Protector of the United States of America to Sister M., Aug 22, 1981, gives consolation and encouragement: 'If the people of this land carry out faithfully the instructions and pleadings of the Lord Jesus and the Virgin Mother then they will be following me to the hour of peace. With this sword of the Divine white flame of Love and the lightning bolts of His Infinite Justice God will strike down His enemies and heal the repentant sinner. This nation and all who follow in the pursuit of peace will know the protection of God and the destruction of those, who fight and seek to destroy them through the evil powers of the infernal spirits of darkness and hate.'...

It is as simple as that!....This is a time for making great efforts that the Chastisement be mitigated. When the biggest catastrophes break it will be too late. For instance, Sister Rose Asdenti of Taggia (19th century) foretold: 'A great revolution will spread all over Europe...' (Rev. Albert J. Hebert, S.M., Prophecies: The Chastisement and Purification, pp. 141, 142).

Fr. Hebert's book was written back in 1986. How much of what he said would occur has come to pass? I am struck most of all by what he had to say about man-made disasters (think of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico) and volcanic ash - which is (once again) proving to be a major problem for Europe.

And what of Sister Rose Asdenti's prophecy of revolution spreading all over Europe? What is happening right now with the Euro? Witness the fear and discontent as economic problems continue to plague that continent.

Pray and work to mitigate the Chastisement. Offer your Holy Mass, your Rosary, your Mercy Chaplet. Prepare yourself now as the storm clouds continue to gather.

A time of darkness, purification and renewal were prophesied by the future Pope Benedict XVI....

Such was the prophecy popularly known as "A Message for the Faithful of the Universal Church" which was given in September of 1974 and recounted by the Rev. Albert J. Hebert, S.M., in his book "Prophecies: The Chastisement and Purification." The prophecy declared:

"O Jerusalem...

My Beloved Bride -

My Holy City of Love -

What are these wounds -

Wherewith I have been wounded -

In the House of those who love Me?

I will strike My Shepherds -

And My sheep shall be dispersed -

It is I -

Fear not!

Come away, My Love, My Dove, My Beautiful One -

For now it is toward winter -

And the summer has long since passed away.

I am the good Shepherd -

I know My Sheep

I know My Lambs

And Mine know Me.

I weep for you, O Jerusalem, My Daughter -

Holy and Sanctified -

In former generations -

By My Spirit of Truth -

Whom in these days you have dared to reject -

I have loved you -

Unto the Cross -

Unto Death upon the Cross -

Behold the Wood of My Cross -

Upon which your Savior hung obedient -

To the Holy Will of His Father.

To those who have loved Me -

To those who have kept My Law -

To those who, seeing their sins,

As abominations in My Sight -

Turn back to Me

In Sincerity and Love -

To those only who obey

With profound heart and mind -

Let those who have disobeyed My Vicar

Let them come to the tomb of Peter -

And be reconciled -

Let them repent of their disobedience -

And I will be close to them again.

O My Father, that they may be One again,

Even as I in You and they in Me...

Peace be with you. Amen."

My father and I used to talk much about the coming purification, the coming chastisement which will lead the entire world back to reconciliation. He believed, as do I, in the prophecy of the Cure of Ars: "One day Our Lady of La Salette will lead the world." My father went to be with the Lord Jesus in the Jubilee Year (2000) on the anniversary of Our Lady of La Salette. And so I continue to get the word out - to anyone who will listen - return to the Lord Jesus and His enduring Love!

The World is Going to Change...

For years I have been warning that the world as we know it is going to change. I have quoted extensively from Catholic prophecy to this end. Mark Mallett has written an interesting post entitled "The World is Going to Change" which may be found at his Blog. He warns, as I have repeatedly, that many even in the Church cannot read the signs of the times because they have been desensitized. He writes:


"The spirit of the world, which is rightly called the spirit of antichrist, is so thick and pervasive, that many even in the Church do not see it. We have collectively been numbed not only to the reality of what is unfolding around us, but we "devout Christians" do not realize how far we have fallen. Jesus’ words come to mind:

I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. Realize how far you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. (Rev 2:4-5)

What is the love we had at first? It was a burning zeal for souls. This thirst for souls is what led our Savior to the Cross, it is what drove St. Paul across land and sea, St. Ignatius to the lions, St. Francis to the poor, St. Faustina to her knees. The heartbeat of the Christian should be the heartbeat of the Savior: a desire to save souls from the fires of hell. When we have lost this desire, we have lost our heartbeat, and Christians, the Church, will seem as nearly dead.

It is in this climate, in fact, that an angel from God now warns you and I: the Church has been handed over for her purification, and the instrument of this purification will be a world order that controls. How? Through a spirit of fear. For the opposite of love is fear. Love is free, it gives, it believes, it trusts. Fear chains the mind, it clutches freedom, it doubts, it refuses absolutes, and trusts no one. Thus, the environment, the economy, plague and war will become the catalysts of this purification, that is, the seals of Revelation. They are becoming the means by which mankind will be controlled, whether the crises are real or man-made."

This chastisement which is coming upon the world has been fashioned by human hands. It is Our Lady who has said so repeatedly.
