The hour of poverty and defeat approaches....

Our Lady to Fr. Stephano Gobbi,
November 15, 1990,
Malvern PA

I announce to you that the hour of the great trial is on the point of arriving.

The great trial has arrived for your country. How many times, as a concerned and sorrowing mother, have I endeavored to urge my children to follow the path of conversion and of return to the Lord.

I have not been listened to. You have continued to walk along the way of rejection of God, and of His law of love. Sins of impurity have become ever more widespread, and immorality has spread like a sea which has submerged all things. Homosexuality, a sin of impurity which is against nature, has been justified; recourse to the means of preventing life have become commonplace, while abortions - these killings of innocent children, that cry for vengeance before the face of God - have spread and are performed in every part of your homeland.
The moment of divine justice and of great mercy has now arrived. You will know the hour of weakness and of poverty; the hour of suffering and defeat; the purifying hour of the great chastisement.

The great trial has arrived for your Church.

How great is your responsibility, O Pastors of the Holy Church of God! You continue along the path of division from the Pope and of the rejection of his Magisterium; indeed, in a hidden way, there is in preparation a true schism which could soon become open and proclaimed.
(The schism may come when Pope John-Paul II decrees, ex cathedra, that Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, is the Co-Redemptrix, and Co-Mediatrix of grace. This teaching was fought against at the Second Vatican Council by the "progressive" bishops.)

And then, there will remain only a small faithful remnant, over which I will keep watch in the garden of my Immaculate Heart.

The great trial has arrived for all humanity. The chastisement, predicted by me at Fatima and contained in that part of the secret which has not yet been revealed, is about to take place. The great moment of divine justice and of mercy has come upon the world."

The economic crisis has already begun. I read that gasoline could be at $7 a gallon in a year or less and that food may be scarce within the same time-frame. These developments are just incredible.

Stewart....I heard that myself. They say on the news that gasoline could hit four dollars a gallon by early summer and that food prices will also continue to climb. If we have any more damage done to crops, the effects could be catastrophic. I wonder how much the missing bees will continue to effect crops since they are an important part of that process?

Things are really looking bad. I've noticed that the churches in my town are largely empty with perhaps only 10% of the pews being filled. And the pastors are still silent when it comes to addressing things like abortion, homosexuality and contraception etc.

These are all serious signs of the impending chastisement.

Although Pope John Paul II never decreed ex cathedra, that Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, is the Co-Redemptrix, and Co-Mediatrix of grace, this could be decreed by Pope Benedict XVI. Our Lady's prophecy is unravelling right before our eyes. It is being fulfilled and many Americans still cannot see it. But I think this is starting to change. America has become far too proud, too blind. For years this country thought it was invincible. Now it will have to re-discover the meaning of Jesus words: Without Me, you can do nothing. As this country slips further and further into economic crisis and becomes a third world nation (as Pat Buchanan said it would), we will return to prayer and penance. We tried liberalism, secularism and the "we don't need God" approach. But it has failed. Our society is in both economic and moral crisis. Our children bring guns into schools and go on rampages, our children are sexually abused by predators who seek to satisfy their sexual appetites on the innocent, innocent children are ripped apart in the womb, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, Satanism, New Age occultism and other evils plague our sin-soaked society. We are no longer becoming like ancient Rome. Our evils far surpass that ruined pagan experiment. We have surpassed even Sodom and Gomorrah in our iniquity. And now, having rejected the Mercy of God (as a society, for there is still a remnant), we face destruction.

We will reap what we have sown.

Perhaps this is the reason why the Vatican has announced the new list of sins of this century.... Leaders and professinals around the globe should confess their sins before God or else the earth will be destroyed...besides I dont want to see America defeated by poverty or anything else....she is a just nation in the history of the world...she is the defender of Christianity....and i believe if her people change she will be saved!! Just want to express my sentiments for your country...

There are too many prophecies regarding the United States to ignore. And they are all in agreement on the fact that this country will be humbled. If memory serves, Theresa Neuman told a soldier that this country would be reduced to poverty by natural disasters and other means but that it would never be defeated by another country because of the kindness it has shown to other nations in the form of economic relief.

We need to multiply MMP Cenacles and to pray the Rosary more than ever. Everywhere there is turmoil and chaos. Where there is no Holy Spirit, there is no peace. Monthly confession is another remedy which Our Lady spoke of so often.
